Indigent Defense Contract Attorney Orientation (2025)

All Rule 608 Contract Attorneys are required to attend this short Orientation and Training Program. For convenience, the program will be offered on two separate days with morning or afternoon options.

REGISTRATION FOR ATTORNEYS - You must log in to your SCCID account before registering.  If you do not, you will get an error when you try to register.

REGISTRATION FOR STAFF MEMBERS - DO NOT use an attorney account to register staff members.  Staff should be able to register using their own name and email address without needing to log in to an SCCID account.  If you register staff members using another person's information, their name tag and lunch order will show that incorrect information.

This Seminar is open ONLY to SCCID Indigent Defense Contract Attorneys and their staff members.

All New Indigent Defense Contract Attorneys MUST ATTEND.

A staff member/paralegal who will be who will be assisting with cases registered in the SCCID system may also attend.

SCCID does not reimburse for mileage or commuter parking expenses. 


STREET PARKING - NOT RECOMMENDED - All street parking around the State House is metered.

The City now enforces the parking meters Monday – Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm. 

 METER FEEDING WARNING:  Our sessions will not be convenient for feeding the meter.  Feeding the meter is illegal.  The phone app will not allow you to feed the meter.  City employees issue tickets for meter-feeding. 

The maximum time is shown by the color of the meter

Blue meters 5 to 10 hours . Green Meters 2 hours . Silver Meters 1 hour . Red Meters 30 Minutes
