Rep. Jordon has served in the House of Representatives since 2015. He is a member of the House Judiciary and Ethics Committees.
A resident of Florence, Rep. Jordon was born on February 6, 1980,the son of Wallace H., Sr., and Leila Parham Jordan.
He graduated from the Charleston School of Law, J.D., 2007.
He is married to Tara Monroe, with three children, Wallace, Lana Claire, and Monroe and an active member, Deacon, and Sunday School teacher at the Florence Baptist Temple. Jay is also active as a youth football and baseball coach.
An attorney, Rep. Jordon previously served on the Florence County Election Commission and Voter Registration Board, 2008-2011, and was Chairman in 2011. He was also a member of the City of Florence Planning Commission, 2014-2015 and the Family Promise of the Pee Dee, 2012-2015.
