MEMBERSHIPS

Robert Dudek was the 2004 South Carolina Public Defender Association Lawyer of the Year. He has argued over one hundred and twenty five cases before either the South Carolina Supreme Court or the Court of Appeals as of April, 2006. In addition, he is the counsel of record in one hundred and seventy or more published opinions in the South Carolina Supreme Court or the Court of Appeals as of April, 2006.

Following graduation from the University of South College of Journalism, where he also was a sports writer for The Gamecock, Bob was a VISTA volunteer in Alaska in 1980-1981. He oversees the death penalty appeals for the Appellate Division of the Office of Indigent Defense, and he handles mostly murder and death penalty cases. He is a frequent speaker at the Annual Public Defender’s Convention CLE program doing the Case Law Update, and he has also been the co-host of the Death Penalty breakout CLE session in the past.
