Sally Henry is the Deputy Public Defender for Lexington County. A Juris Doctor graduate of the University of South Carolina, she was admitted to practice in 1993. Her first year of practice was spent as law clerk for the Honorable Costa Pleicones, after which she began working as an Assistant Public Defender in Lexington County, where she has worked continuously with the exception of one year, during which she practiced privately in Columbia, SC. In 2005 she was named Deputy Public Defender for Lexington County.
Prior to earning her Juris Doctor degree, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1974 from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1980. She is a member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the South Carolina Women's Law Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
