 Program Summary

Public Defense 103: Trial Skills Workshop is a 2 1/2 day trial advocacy program comprised of presentations and on-your-feet small group sessions including pretrial motions, entering evidence, making objections, impeachment and cross-examination.  Participants will perform in a series of practical workshops to incorporate what they learned from the presentations in exercises simulating discrete phases of a trial.  Case materials for the exercises will be provided for the participants before the conference.

Hotel Accommodations

For student participants whose travel to the Greenville County Courthouse exceeds 50 miles, SCCID will provide hotel accommodations. SCCID has been able to reserve a limited number of rooms for participants downtown near the courthouse.  Those rooms will be available based on conference registration order, so please register as soon as possible to secure your hotel room.
